God Gave Us Stories

The Bible “stories” are filled with meaning for the Believer. The Apostle Paul said they are to be “examples for us…” God chose these examples from the lives of men and women to help us understand both positive and negative expressions of faith in God. Jan and Geof Jackson will be teaching this course, introducing you to Old and New Testament stories that God intended to be lessons for us. But, those lessons can only be learned when we study them as God has revealed them to us in His Word.

Jan’s warm personal style of teaching will make the story “alive” to you as you experience it for yourself. Geof’s teaching brings together history, context, and Biblical theme to draw lessons we all need to learn. Come and learn with us!

The Truth About Job

How should we, as believers, react to “trials and afflictions”? The BOOK OF JOB is often misunderstood and mis-used as an “example” for what we should be willing to accept in our lives. Our careful reading and study of the “whole” of the book will show that Job’s problem wasn’t what caused the suffering in his life, neither was it a “test” from God to see how he would react. No, Job’s problem was HOW he reacted during the time of suffering. What started as an “acceptance of his lot” soon spiraled down into depression, bitterness, and foolish accusation. BUT, God never gave up on Job, and ultimately brought forth deliverance. Come prepared to see the “truth” exposed.

The Spring Session will last 6 weeks concluding May 14th / 16th.

Each course is $85.00 and includes a manual of notes and outlines.
